About 150 gallons of sewage was discharged Tuesday into Kewalo Basin on Oahu, according to the Hawaii Department of Health.
The incident occurred Tuesday when a clean out overflowed at 919 Alamoana Boulevard and discharged about 150 gallons of sewage mixed with air conditioning condensate water into the basin, according to the department. Warning signs were posted and the public was advised to stay out of the water in the area for a couple of days.
